Betsaida is the name of a city in the bible! The city was known for abundance in fishing/hunting and was a symbol of prosperity and hope.

Meaning of Name

In Hebrew the "Be" means house, and "tzed" means both hunting and fishing. The resulting name means either "house of the fisherman" or "house of the hunter".

Behind My Name

The proper spelling is Bethsaida, but my parents preferred Betsaida.
