One of the earliest uses of "Dorian" as a name was in Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray, which happens to be one of my favorite novels.
"Dorian" and "Rhea" are names of Greek origin, and both relate to bodies of water. There are some debates over the meaning of "Dorian," but one meaning is "child of the sea." "Rhea" loosely translates to "flowing" or "stream."
While you may read my first name (i.e. "Dorian") in email signatures or conference programs, I exclusively use my middle name, "Rhea," in all everyday interactions.
